Mohamed Abou Shebika

Is from Egypt born in Cairo
Mohamed has been working
with oriental dance and
music in Egypt and Sweden
for more than 26 years.

He was working with many famous
egyptian artists, singers and dancers
as a folklore dancer,
tabla player and band leader.

He teaches tabla drumming
occasionally at EKC dance School

1995 he moved to Stockholm, Sweden
where he first started a dance group, Nefertari
with more than 15 dancers of oriental dance.

in 1997 opened the shop
Kairo Bazar.
A unique shop for dance clothes and bazaar
Items of best quality and design.
He is also selling waterpipes.

Egyptiskt Kulturcentrum
One of the biggest Schools for
orientals dance in Europe,
with more than 600 students of oriental dance.
At the beginning he was giving his own
classes at the dance school and often
travelled in the Sweden and the
North for workshops in
egyptian folklore dance.

In present time there is no time
for him to teach but he is evetually teaching
Choreographys to the dance group Nefertari.
today the school
have more than 10 teachers of oriental dance
with Suzanne Abou Shebika as the
main teacher and choreographer

Mohamed is arranging dance events like
Dance festivals, performances, partys
and trips to Egypt for the students.
